Introducing an Organizational Behavior Insight for improving the Jordanian Construction Industry: Emotional Intelligence

Business Management EnglishThe characteristics of managers are evolving constantly to respond to intensive research serving the environmental requirements of effective workplaces. Recently, the demands of workplace effectiveness seemed to rely more on managers’ skills derived from organizational behavior concepts. Organizational behavior seeks to study the influence people have on behavior within the organization in order to use this influence to increase the organization’s effectiveness. However, despite the beneficial effects of organizational behavior concepts which were proved by research, practitioners especially engineering practitioners, regarded these concepts irrelevant and difficult to implement. Therefore, in order to convince those practitioners of these concepts, researchers sought to relate them to other factors that practitioners regarded as essential for the workflow such as effective performance and workplace productivity.
